How to Find Your Device ID Number (Windows 7 & Windows Vista)

1. Click on the Windows Start button on the bottom left corner of your screen and select "Computer".

2. In the top left of the window, click on the "Organize" tab. > Select "Folder and search options".

3. Click on the "View" tab. > Scroll down and check the circle next to "Show hidden files, folders, or drives".

4.
Click Apply and then click OK.

5. Right-click on the Rabbit TV device under "Devices with Removable Storage". > Select "Open"

6. Locate and double-click the "did.txt" file. >
This will open up a notepad with the device ID number in it.

 



How to Find Your Device ID Number (On Windows 8)

The quickest way to get to Windows Explorer and find Rabbit TV is by pressing Windows key + E on your keyboard to open up the window on your screen.
(Windows key is the one that looks like the Windows logo and is usually located near the bottom left corner of your keyboard.)

-You can also Right-click on the very bottom left corner of your screen and select "File Explorer" to open up Windows Explorer

1. At the top of the Explorer window that opens up, you will see a "View" tab > Click on "View" tab.

2. Then, over to the right you will see check boxes, one of which has "Hidden items" next to it. > Check the box next to "Hidden items"

3. Locate the Rabbit TV device under "Devices with Removable Storage" > Right-click the Rabbit TV icon and select "Open in new window".

4. In the window that opens up, find and double-click the file that reads "did" or "did.txt". > This will open up a notepad with the device ID number in it.



 



How to Find Your Device ID Number (Windows XP)


1. Click on the Windows Start button on the bottom left corner of your screen. > Select "My Computer"

2. Click on Tools at the top of that window. > Select "Folder options". > Click the "View" tab.

3. Select "Show hidden files and folders" and put a check next to it. > Click "OK"

4. Right-click on the Rabbit TV device and select "Explorer" or "Open in another window".

5. In the folder that opens up, locate and double-click the "DID.txt" file.

6. This will open up a notepad with the device ID number in it.

How to Find Your Device ID Number (On a MAC operating system)


1. Click on Finder in the MAC dockbar on the bottom of your screen (drag mouse to bottom to bring up menu).

2. Click on the Rabbit TV_US_Mac icon in the top left of the Finder window.


3. Double-click on did.txt to bring up a window with the device ID number.
