Why am I being asked for a cable provider?

Certain video providers require you to register (or sign in if you're already a user) in order to watch live events and/or TV shows.

These networks include ESPN, TBS, TNT, TruTV, Cartoon Network, Fox, AMC, Disney and any premiere channels. Listed below are instructions for how to register with each site. Some of these sites may still have full episodes available, though they will be limited.

Notice the image below, which can also be found on our Live Events page to show which content requires a separate login or fee.

TBS - Not all TBS shows require authentication. Sometimes there may be a few episodes available for free, without any authentication necessary. If an episode requires authentication, you will see a key image over that episode

  1. When you click on the Watch Now button for a TBS show listed on the site, you'll be directed to TBS.com. Click on the big Unlock The Laughter! link on the right side of the page.

  2. A new window will pop up asking you to select your television service provider and log in with your ID and password.

  3. Type in the ID and password you have registered under your cable provider account.
(Contact your cable provider if you don't know your ID and password)

Fox - Only the most recent episodes of Fox shows require authentication. They become viewable, without any authentication required, eight days after their original air date.

  1. Go to Fox.com and click on the Sign Up link in the top right corner of the homepage, or click Sign In if you already have a registered account with the site.

  2. After filling out the required account information you'll also be asked for your TV provider.

  3. Select your TV (cable) provider from the list and enter the username and password you have registered with that account. (Contact your cable provider if you don't know your ID and password)

Cartoon Network - Authentication is sometimes required to watch full episodes on Cartoon Network.

  1. When you click on the Watch Now button for a Cartoon Network show listed on our site, you'll be directed to Cartoonnetwork.com.

  2. If a window pops up in the video player and reads Ready to Log In And Unlock The Awesome?, just follow the steps provided to gain authentication. You will be asked to select your TV provider and provide your username and password for your cable account.

Adult Swim - Only TV shows/clips with the gold label (G) require authentication.
  • When you click on a TV show with the gold label, a new window will pop up and ask you to select your TV Service Provider.

  • Click on the link for whichever TV service provider you have and then enter the username and password you have registered with that account. (Contact your cable provider if you don't know your ID and password)

USA - Not all USA shows require authentication. Sometimes there may be a few episodes available for free, without any authentication necessary. If an episode requires authentication, you will see a key image over that episode.
  1. When you click on the Watch Now button for a USA show listed on the site, you'll be directed to USA.com. If an episode has a key image in front of it, then it requires authentication through a TV provider.

  2. You will then need to sign in with the username and password associated with your TV provider account.

  3. Type in the ID and password you have registered under your cable provider account.
(Contact your cable provider if you don't know your ID and password)

TNT - Authentication process is the same as TBS.

HBO - Authentication is required for every HBO series.

  1. After clicking on the Watch Free button for any HBO show, you'll be directed to the show page on Hbogo.com.

  2. When you scroll over an episode and click on the play button, a small window will pop up and read Want more HBO? You're just a click away.

  3. You'll be required to sign in, or sign up by selecting your cable provider and entering the username and password you have with that provider. (Contact your cable provider if you don't know your ID and password)

Xfinity - Many of the newer, more popular films on Xfinity (HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, Showtime) will require authentication. Only Comcast subscribers can gain access to these select movies.

  1. When you click on a movie that requires authentication, you'll be brought to an Xfinity TV Sign-in page, which asks you for your username and password.

  2. If you don't have a username and a password, click on Create a Username>> under where it says Need access? You will be asked for your Comcast billing account number, as well as your street address and/or phone number.

  3. If you don't have a Comcast account and would just like to view all the movies that don't require authentication, just click Hide  on the left menu bar, under where it says Filters:
